Nice job on the DotD. Looks awesome. Having the blood a slightly different red is actually better. It makes it pop more.

Is that a grey mat with red printed on top or is the grey also printed?
I broke something today, and I realized I should break something once a week.. - Warhol

It's a double mat, with the grey on top of red, and the red is printed on.

Thanks for the comments everyone!

Great job on the Proctor. Would you mind posting higher res photos? I'd like a closer look at that blood.

That's about as high-res as you'll get from now... my camera is currently without a charger and the frame is wrapped up (the framer always takes a photo for me)... I'll try and take a closer photo with my phone tonight

EDIT: Here's the larger version of the 2nd photo http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8070/8171 ... 4148_k.jpg

Quick iPhone shots. First stab at the Ben Kehoe OG I picked up. Next step will be to redo/improve the mounting of the wood piece to the shadow box and substitute in museum glass.

From Emek's show, packed & shipped by scratch, with only black mat & frame. I added the red and olive linen mats. The olive matches the background rays perfectly. I like the wat his one turned out for $20 more than the purchase price... Hobby Lobby always seems to have the mat colors I want, in acid free, for great proces.

Thank you. That was a great addition. I may have to steal that idea.
