I finished my Hypostasis today as well. Not breaking any new ground with the black on black. Conceptually, I was attempting to build depth with the moulding sloping in and stepping down along with two 8-ply mats so it added more to the sense of the subject falling inward. I'm not sure it worked out how I pictured. I think it really needs a spacer between the mats to help the effect but there isn't enough rabbet depth at this point. I still like it, though :) .

I forgot to add some "pro tips" I was thinking about on this project for anyone else DIYing this print. 8)
1) This thing turned out a lot larger than I was picturing in my mind  . It didn't seem like that big of a print.
2) If you're matting out the border, I'd maybe make the mat window 1/8" smaller than the image. I went with 1/16. It worked, but you really have to keep everything aligned since there isn't much wiggle room.
3) I don't know why I get black mats for anything. It always drives me crazy trying to eliminate dust because you can see everything. I guess that's not so much a tip, as a general musing.

Haven't been on in a while and was going through threads this morning. Don't remember if I ever shared this. It's been a year or so, so I may have.

Awesome! Did you have it signed in the image, or just matted out the sig? Looks fantastic.

Had it signed on the image. Though it needed no white on the border for that window to pop.

Nice job, felocin. That's a little different than any of the others I've seen.
