For some reason this was a total bastard to figure out how to frame, the colors made for some difficult matching options

Here are some WIP of my Detritus. I've been working on her tonight, but I think I'm going to need some turn buttons to fit it all in the rabbet. Since I'm at a stand-still and it's easier to shoot without glass, I thought I'd snap a few photos. I don't think the color came out fully representative, though.
This one's closer to real color on my monitor. The bottom mat is a kind of silver/brown/gold color. I wanted something that brought out the painted gray/brown parts of the ray. When the light hits, it looks more metallic gold and goes with the egg cases. It actually has some scratchy lines through it as well, but they are harder to see with the small reveal. I thought the lines of the moulding mimicked the lines in the piece, and the color again plays off the painted parts.

That Detritus JP needs to be my next Horkey acquisition. Looks great with that treatment.
When I'm done ranting about elite power that rules the planet under a totalitarian government that uses the media to keep people stupid, my throat gets parched. That's why I drink Orange Drink. - BH
