Framed Horkey Thread
yep i kinda like the rust effect to go with the aged cart, but i have other plans for that moulding as i think its perfect for Sutfin's Mad Battle Man giclees and the Pushead astrozombies i need to get framed...i'm kinda veering towards the middle one i think although this darker colour might be better

Try this combo of three frames together, your framer should have theses, it makes it more if a statement and better proportionally.jools wrote:payday on fridayopence wrote:Any Croatoan frame ups yet?
think i have narrowed the moulding down to one of these 3
Width (mm): 40
or
Width (mm): 45
or
Width (mm): 39.5
struggling to decide on matts as linen wrapped ones are hard to come by over here
Also try double mounting linen boards, a cream and Crimson colour would look nice together.

Nice and clean, billyg ! Love it
I'm very fortunate and grateful to have "Croatoan" be my first Horkey piece as well as my first framed Horkey.
I'd like to thank ged88988 for creating his THC 5 Raffle/Giveaway because that thread helped me realize a lot about the supportive side of the EB community. There are a lot of really nice people that know and care about art, artists, and each other. Aaron's work is incredible, but I think his fans really elevate his work to another level. Don't get me wrong, he is extremely talented and would be successful nonetheless; however, his community of fans foster an ecosystem of respect, admiration, and appreciation for him, his work, each other, and newcomers. Getting back to the piece, ged88988's thread was also the first time I found out about "Croatoan" and became fascinated with the piece.
Without further ado, here is my framed "Croatoan"
I hope that my framing choice does not detract from the beauty of the artwork. Many thanks to everyone for their contribution and inspirational frame ups in this thread. I can't wait to see all the other future frame ups for your "Croatoan" and other Horkey pieces.
