Does anyone know if it's possible to reframe something that's been drymounted (not by me)?

It will have to stay on the mount but will it come away from the actual frame without damaging it, do you think? I don't want to try without reassurance.

Thanks.

Trying un-drymount it will be very difficult but you should be able to remove it from the frame. When buying a new frame will need to ensure you have room for what the image is mounted on. Most of the Nielsen metal frames will have the room and can be adjusted since they just use spring clips. Most off the shelf wood frames only have room to add a thin picture. My company sells custom frames where you can specify how much room is allowed for the contents by the location of the points that hold that contents in the back.
