For virtually all my framing projects I've gone DIY (usually through FrameDestination), but right now I'm looking to frame this:

Image

It measures a whopping 50"x50", which becomes a problem when most commercially available materials like Acrylic/Glass and Foamcore top out at 48"x96" or 40"X60".

Has anyone framed anything this large themselves? What'd you use? Or will I have to seek out a frame shop for it?

Thanks for the Frame Destination mention! If you are not worried about archival and can get it mounted on something we can sell a frame that size that we ship unassembled so the shipping is reasonable. Aside from that, you will most likely need to go to a local framer. Larger acrylic is available, but shipping it will be ridiculous. Proper mounting also requires a lot of skill and knowledge.

I had a 42x42 print float framed. To avoid the foamcore issue I had the framer use two pieces then wraps them in fabric. You need to go local.
