I don't have mat cutters to try and take the large side in, and the outside measurements of the mat boards are the same as the opening in the frame, so no room to fudge it there. Good stuff, bigB_3. They're terrific.
I never considered "fabric" mats because I always thought they looked cheesy when looking at the corners next to a print. It's a perfect complement to that STP print though.
On the Zero 7 print, the bottom is a lavender-ish color and then there's a green-ish top mat, but what is the middle?
The second picture makes it appear there is a fillet with a white edge just inside the green top mat. Is that correct? If not, what did the framer do, because it looks really cool.

I am not sure what it is called but it is a spacer-type piece that compliments the frame. The spacer is black with a sliver edge, same as the frame.
