I really enjoy Jay ryans prints... but this thread really give me a whole new appreciation.

kevron....your 2-2 with Log Trick and HST
big fan of black mattes and frames, let the print do all the talkin'. I would use a bottom matte in each instance.....but these look very classy.

I thought about doing a double matte but I am not big on colored mattes so I left it alone. Out of curiosity which color would you of gone with on this one? The HST had so much going on I thought just black was a nice contrast. Plus the place I pick up mattes only carries white and black in stock at all times. They are about an hour out of town and I wanted to get these done today.

on this....I probably would have tried to match the bottom matte to the log.

That is not a bad idea at all I might your advice and order a second matte. I never thought of trying to match it up with log, but I really like that idea

man it's time i pick up a few more frames and put up more jay ryans.
this is one of the best framing threads out there, everything looks so nice and classy
maybe i should frame up my mono print
