That mint rant is over the top ...

I traded/sold records worth more than prints I own now before this and the grading system is very similar . I do use the term "mint" very rarely as normally there is some minor detail that
makes it not so (like a single corner only being 99% compared to 100%) but to discount the use of the term totally even to completely honest and clued up sellers is wrong , regardless of fools abusing the use of it.

Bought 2 prints of members recently with the famed "flipper rip"

"Print is mint" - well print received and the kraft paper torn down about 10 inches so they could make sure the right print was received- but the print was never unrolled when received from the artist.....

Another one I love is "print was stored flat" - see that on ebay listing after listing....well then why does the print need those heavy items holding down the corners? :hanging:

The picture may have been taken originally when removed from the tube (to post in the proud print acquisition thread), hence the weights, then stored flat.

Is your translator nearby?

What prints of members did you buy?

The only print of a member I have is my g69p portrait. The print is MINT but NFS. Sorry. ( It's #18 :D )

The term "mint" does not exist in the poster world IMO

The word mint does not exist unless something has been graded. Everything else is merely subjective.

1987 Topps Baseball.. Those I think were the worst ones. :) And if I recall right, it stained the backside of the card!
