So here we go.. Some questions i should have done some time ago now... First:
I have some posters on a black metal frame only. They are not mounted and they are only there.. So they are touching the glass.. Wich they wouldnt if i was using a matte right? What should i do? should i buy a mylar sleeve and frame the poster with the mylar sleeve on it?
Other thing. Is this a good thing to have:

The corners will avoid the poster to slip thorugh the frame right? and will mount it too, but the glue is on the mylar and not on the poster right? YOu think i should use this then? Let me know your toughts please...
And one last question... How much would cost to ship a box like broadart ones to PORTUGAL?? i cant get a shipping quote by them
HELP ME please. Thanks
Framing help and others

To get the print of the glass a mat will work and also this stuff called econospace will work too.

I have used it before it is works fine.
The corners are excellent to secure the print to the backing in a frame.
On shipping... is it that won't ship to you or just won't give you an estimate? you can go to http://www.usps.com and get an estimate.

The beauty of the econospace is you don't have to change the frame as long at the rabbet depth is large enough (the grove with in the frame).

Well i think the large on my posters isnt depth enough... But i am going to the framer one of these days and i can ask arround about this...
But tell me.. Framing a poster with a mylar sleeve on it.. Will it change the look of the poster on the frame? it will protect the poster very well right?

The corner prevents the need for tape or glue. All it does is secure your print to the backing. You still need to be sure to use acid free backing and mats. In most cases you may be able to see the corners in the frame since the pocket overlaps you poster corners. It is not a big deal unless that aspect just bothers you. Other than that, it may be the best way to secure a print.

Thanks sunset... The problem is that i have the posters on the frames right? and as they are not mounted i think they are coming down on the frame you see.. Gravity right? so i think i really need to mount them.. and mylar corners seems to be the best way to do it.. I will see them but at least i know the print will be secure... The back is acid free and the matte are too.sunsetbrew wrote:The corner prevents the need for tape or glue. All it does is secure your print to the backing.
