I just made this 7 minute 'How To' video on how I package a poster for shipping.
Please feel free to share.

Part II
In my 2nd 'how to' video, I use tissue paper to help thwart any scuffing to the flat black ink and give my reason for not using tabs on the blue tape.

I don’t use painters tape. I just use the normal USPS priority tape to tape the roll: Every once in a while I receive tubes were the painters tape does not hold the roll:
Second video:
Agree 100% that bubble wrap should not be stuffed in the end: No reason for it. If a person fudges on the size of the craft and does not leave 2 to 3 inches of space the bubble wrap ( or trash bags, paper towels, wadded up craft) gets pushed into the poster.
The roll should touch both end caps.
I also like to have extra length at the top to wrap around.
And I also put an extra strip of craft paper on top at the fold to make initial rolling easier.
Cutting the tube is the key to avoid headaches and extra shipping charges.

When I bought out someone’s collection, he was sending me four posters packed in four inch tubes with no issues. But I’ll add, he was a meticulous, expert packer.

Two posters should be fine.
IF the craft paper is thick, and there is 2” - 3” of space to protect the poster’s edge.
If mailing 3 posters I use an extra piece of craft paper.
The roll gets heavy and likes to crumple the craft when dropped, two pieces of craft
keep the edges away from the wrinkle & end caps.
