I am thinking of ordering a baroque portfolio for my prints since I recently discovered some silverfish bugs where I store my flattened foam cores on the floor with my posters in between and am worried these pests would destroy my precious prints. Thinking of getting a 24x36 Baroque portfolio, they should be fine for any 24x36 mondo screen print, right?
I also have one print with foil on it, would sliding the print in and out of the sleeves damage the foil and wreck the print?

I don’t store foils in mylar.Leshita wrote: ↑Sat Jan 15, 2022 6:46 amI am thinking of ordering a baroque portfolio for my prints since I recently discovered some silverfish bugs where I store my flattened foam cores on the floor with my posters in between and am worried these pests would destroy my precious prints. When there is any amount of weight on them the foil sticks to the mylar. It peels off.
Got it, guess I will keep those under my bed.turnJBup wrote: ↑Sat Jan 15, 2022 4:53 pmI don’t store foils in mylar.Leshita wrote: ↑Sat Jan 15, 2022 6:46 amI am thinking of ordering a baroque portfolio for my prints since I recently discovered some silverfish bugs where I store my flattened foam cores on the floor with my posters in between and am worried these pests would destroy my precious prints. I hope they do not stick to the glassine since I do have some weight on top. :/
Thank you.
have had foils stick to glassine before, it’s all about humidity. was awhile ago but I learned my lesson. now I’ve got a few sheets of BNG tissue paper protecting the foils I have and no issues over last 5/6 years with that method.
Tricky, I'm glad I do not have that many foil prints. Once I get my Baroque portfolio I will re-examine my foil print, hopefully no issues.
Thanks for the tip.
Quick question about a lot of previous portfolio owners as I am I’m in the process of adding a Baroque portfolio. I have my flat file which I love of course but really wanna add a portfolio. Debating on size as most of my prints are 24x36 and not bigger but worried would be super tight on the edges being almost exact size to spec to be 24x36 model. I do have a bunch of 18x24 prints as well.
I was thinking to go with the bigger version 27x41 which is more towards one sheets for movie theater posters but wouldn’t be as tight for a 24x36 to get dinged on corners or edges. Would it be too big and make my smaller prints more vulnerable move around too much and just stick with the 24x36 model? I will not be carrying this portfolio out so it would not have that kind of unnecessary movement as it would be just be laying on the top flat file or something to that nature. I’m probably over thinking this purchase and I realize that
Just curious what some previous purchasers would suggest as I would like to make the right purchase as you have already done so.

Rumor has it that the newer 24 x 36 are not that tight. That said, I have a 27x41 for my 24x36 prints and the 24x36 for things that are too big for the 18x24 itoya

I'd actually bought the largest portfolio, but also added some 24 x 36 and 18 x 24 inserts to that single order too (to cover all sizes including movie posters).
I currently have prints of all those sizes (with the different size inserts), with the smaller 18 x 24s on top -- in the one portfolio. Not all the inserts are used, so I have extra, but all the prints are in the portfolio, safe.
That being said, I may also buy a separate 18 x 24 portfolio as well in the future (no extra inserts neeeded, since it comes with some anyway), as I will be getting some more 18 x 24 prints of a particular artist as that collection is growing.

Is there any way of getting a baroque portfolio to Australia? They claim international shipping but it appears to only be to UK & Europe.
Today I decided to sort out all my rolled prints and I'm currently sitting amongst 31 tubes, each one containing 3 or 4 posters! I really would love to be able to look at them.
