He has to keep his promises to the mouth breathers. Without their support you can't get through the GOP primary.

He doesn't need to do a single thing he said he was gonna do except sell the farm to big bidness. No chance the supply side hops off of this gravy train due to some ideological friction.

I'll make a bet that congress chooses to not fund these executive orders.

Bet they'll do at least some of it so long as there are equivalent cuts to spending (of the GOP's choosing), which Dump will have zero problem signing off on.

Congress can't overturn or defund these executive orders. Only pass a bill that would make it more difficult to implement, that Trump could simply veto. And if all that happens, goodluck getting two thirds vote in both houses under republican control.

He'll have to ask for the money to pay for the rest of it once the available money (quickly) runs out.

Republican leaders in both houses have already said they will back Trump in building the wall.

In the example you chose to cite here, if they had enough votes to vote a bill Into law to begin with, then what makes you assume they might not have enough votes to override the veto. Hypothetically, of course.

Yeah, Republicans love blowing money on useless bullshit, but their "small government" message somehow still fools people.

Why Trump's Staff is Lying

https://www.bloomberg.com/view/articles ... f-is-lying

By requiring subordinates to speak untruths, a leader can undercut their independent standing, including their standing with the public, with the media and with other members of the administration. That makes those individuals grow more dependent on the leader and less likely to mount independent rebellions against the structure of command. Promoting such chains of lies is a classic tactic when a leader distrusts his subordinates and expects to continue to distrust them in the future.

Another reason for promoting lying is what economists sometimes call loyalty filters. If you want to ascertain if someone is truly loyal to you, ask them to do something outrageous or stupid. If they balk, then you know right away they aren’t fully with you. That too is a sign of incipient mistrust within the ruling clique, and it is part of the same worldview that leads Trump to rely so heavily on family members.

Is this for real? I guess its one way to pay for the wall and a way for art galleries to tear it down.
