I mean, really. What other candidate could be a mass murderer and still win a U.S. Presidential Election by 3,000,000 votes?
The bitch was pretty incredible.

More of a gentlemen's bet. You want in?
I tend to agree with finn, though I don't know if he can get his act together by the end of the year. He basically did the same fudge with #newnafta. Dragged out "negotiations" foreva over what amounted to essentially jack fudge. Then declared "victory" as a master negotiator. This would be an even greater "feat" especially since Americans and American companies have been footing the bill on this one.

See I think China wants him out and will stall in an effort to prevent him from getting that victory. I would have given even odds on a deal before the election. Lack of competence is this administration's strong suit and I don't see them getting anything done in the next 3+ months.

I don't disagree that they'd love to see him out, but they love making money even more, and hoping/assuming that he doesn't get re-elected isn't a gamble I see them making.

It’s not going to be a change of anything meaningful, but the tariffs will go down, and the constant chaos surrounding the “trade war” will go away. Nothing will be accomplished, but it will be heralded as a victory by both sides. Business investment will take off, and the stock market will be firing on all cylinders (which it would have been doing anyway if we just hadn’t pursued this asinine experiment) simply by it going away.

I have to say I agree with you.

I've done business with and have worked in China.
It's an entirely different world. Americans think they are hard workers. They have no idea.
The true resolve of the Chinese human is something America will never be able to grasp fully.
Seriously.

Seems possible Xi wants Trump to stay in because of what he's doing to American prestige.

We don't know fudge. These people operate in spaces/with motives very far removed from our real-time understanding.

All you can do is tell 'em what you want and vote for whoever is up against the bad guys.

100% this ^

I have read quite a few articles that speculate China will not give him this victory. Everything they do is long term and VERY calculated, unlike our current admins "tweet out of no where then scramble to try make it happen" method of policy. He's insulted them. He's pissed them off. He's given them no reason to help him secure a second term.

Trump giving a speech now saying he saw the second plane hit the WTC and he went to help thereafter. Such a lying piece of garbage.

Surprising that he didn't mention talking later that day on the radio about how his building was now the tallest in lower Manhattan after the twin towers fell.
