Wall Street Fears Trump May Be Too Dumb to End Trade War Before 2020

https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2019/08 ... ubscribers
China wants Trump out so they will wait out the storm and not cut a deal with him to increase his chances of reelection. They are playing a long game. Similarly, Iran will not come to the table either. Trump's bullying tactics work with small countries like Guatemala but don't with China/Iran etc.

We are headed toward recession and the only question is when. My guess is that a hard Brexit will be the trigger. Presidents can survive a recession to get reelected.

Nixon (recession ended November 1970) - REELECTED
Ford (recession ended March 1975) - LOST
Carter (recession ended July 1980) - LOST
Reagan (recession ended November 1982) - REELECTED
HW Bush (recession ended March 1991) - LOST
GW Bush (recession ended November 2001) - REELECTED
Obama (recession ended June 2009) - REELECTED

Of note, for all those reelected, the recession ended 2 years or more from the election. When the recession ended less than 2 years from the election the incumbent lost.

The child had blood coming from his ears, a concussion and a fractured skull, the affidavit said.

Referring to times the President has spoken out against athletes and others that kneel or protest during the National Anthem and when he suggested possible jail time or loss of citizenship for burning the American flag, Jasper said, "Curt takes that literally and views the president as the commander in chief and when he sees it happening, he feels he needs to do something about it."

To wrap this into a gun control discussion, this guy should not be allowed to own or possess a firearm.

Looks like he'll try the insanity defense, either way he needs to be behind bars in prison or the asylum.

Jasper said he intends to present his client's neuropsychological evaluation to the court and Brockway will plead not guilty.

Lance Jasper, Brockway's attorney said his client has a severe traumatic brain injury and has problems with impulse control. Between that and being a disabled veteran who is "uber patriotic," Jasper said Brockway is influenced by the rhetoric of President Donald Trump.

Brockway told police the boy was wearing a hat as the National Anthem began, and he asked him to remove it because it was disrespectful to wear during the anthem, but the boy responded by saying "f*** you," according to the affidavit.

Several witnesses claim there was zero interaction between the two before he attacked.

And the guy's been convicted of a violent assault before. And they released him to await trial. Who the drymount wants this lunatic roaming their town.

X is good a what he does and is obviously paid well for his commitment to the cause.
I guess we have vastly different opinions of "good."

His sanctimonious diatribes are more than ridiculous and reveal a person a bit unhinged.
I'm not someone else.

Read this today. WTF...

MISSOULA, Mont. — The attorney for a Montana man accused of throwing a 13-year-old boy to the ground at a rodeo because the teenager didn’t remove his hat during the national anthem says his client believes he was acting on an order from President Trump.

I think the point is the obvious difference between those two photo ops.
