I think we can all agree that regardless of what he does it’s going to be akin to political diarrhea.

Here are the massive tax cuts going to the Republicans who wrote the tax bill
A new report finds they will reap an average of $314,000 from just one provision.

Good a time as any for Ryan to quit. His job is done. The current crop of GOP thieves did what they came to do - skim a trillion or so off the economy after the democrats saved it from a GOP's de-tax n' steal miasma...again. Could be another decade and a half before the public's life savings is ripe for the picking.
just a foil for me today, thanks

Reddit just shut down nearly 1,000 Russian troll accounts
They made 14,000 posts and caused a splash in forums for Trump supporters.

At New York's Trump Tower, condo prices have lost their glitter

https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/compani ... spartanntp

"Clearly the Trump candidacy and presidency have had a negative impact on the real estate values" at Trump Tower, said Wendy Maitland, a broker with Brown Harris Stevens, who last year listed a fashion industry client's three-bedroom, $7.5 million condo, 39CD, at the tower that failed to sell.
Since 2015, prices at Trump Tower have dropped 30 percent per square foot compared with an 8 percent fall in comparable properties on Manhattan's Midtown East Side, according to New York real estate site CityRealty.com.
By comparison, prices at Olympic Tower, a 1975 Midtown building likened to Trump Tower that is a few blocks south on Fifth Avenue, dropped 21 percent since 2015. That contrasts with a 29 percent rise in prices in the area, including new developments, over the same period.
At Trump Tower, "there’s currently 22 units on the market, which is a statement in and of itself,” said Maitland, adding that only half that number were on offer in 2015.

Now Trump is looking into rejoining TPP. I wonder if it’s occurring to him that dealing with China on a united front might make significantly more sense. Better late than never I guess.

Trump Loudly Insists That He Is Incompetent
Either the Department of Justice is correct that he surrounded himself with lawbreakers, or the people he chose to run the federal justice system are incompetents and rogues.

https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/ar ... ce/557723/
On November 18, 2016, President Trump announced that he would nominate Jeff Sessions to be his attorney general. “Jeff has been a highly respected member of the U.S. Senate for 20 years,” he said in a statement. “He is a world-class legal mind and considered a truly great Attorney General and U.S. Attorney in the state of Alabama. Jeff is greatly admired by legal scholars and virtually everyone who knows him.”

In January 2017, Trump asked James Comey to stay on as FBI director. Three months later, in April, he was still declaring that “I have confidence in him.”

That same month, he chose Rod Rosenstein to be deputy attorney general.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders, his spokesperson, would soon declare, “Everybody across the board has unequivocally said, ‘This guy is a man of upstanding character’ and essentially the gold standard at the Department of Justice. We are incredibly confident in his abilities, as I believe you can tell by the rest of the Senate, including many Democrats, are as well. Given the fact that he was confirmed 94 to 6 and had overwhelming praise from both sides, I think there’s complete confidence in him.”

Either Trump totally misjudged those people then, or he is totally misjudging them now. If all of them are actually incompetent, malign, or both, as some would have us think, that means that Trump staffed some of the most important jobs in the nation with dubious characters who are manifestly failing their country.

What would that make Trump? At best, an incompetent who failed at perhaps the most important thing a successful president must do: appoint “the best people,” as Trump promised voters.
“If we had had confidence that the president clearly did not commit a crime, we would have said so.”

What Exactly Was Michael Cohen Doing for Donald Trump?
The president has complained that “attorney–client privilege is dead,” but was Cohen functioning as a lawyer or a fixer?
