Has there ever been anything so crazy in the history of the Oscars??? (I haven’t googled this so maybe there is.)RottenAtom wrote: ↑Sun Mar 27, 2022 11:17 pmHe apologized to the Academy but not to Chris Rock
Is this the weirdest Oscars moment we've seen in the 11 years of this contest? I think so! So weird
Apologizing would have been admitting fault, which would’ve been a bad move in the eventual settlement negotiations.
But everyone laughing and giving him a standing o after assaulting someone in one of the most public ways possible is very crazy to me.

Oh yeah all the top 4 right now have the same picks for the rest of the categories (I think) and I way underbaked the tiebreaker thinking it’d actually run shorter with the whole preshow thing.

Congrats to ArchibaldTuttle, CSmiley317, and onesheet for receiving the top scores of 22/23!
Tiebreaker is the show runtime. To be determined soon...

Thanks again to RottenAtom and to all the gift donors, for keeping this thing going - always fun to play this game with you monsters. Here's to next year, and a tiebreaker involving guessing which two celebrities will get into a fight.

What in the what????? I’ve been doing this for many years now and have never come close to winning anything.
The prize or the competition has never been the draw for me. I say it every time I see the thread pop up, but this is my favorite time of year on EB. It exists for the pure love of movies and this community, and I’m just happy to be here and participate.
Biggest thanks to RottenAtom for continuing to graciously host and engage with the forum. This is completely unnecessary, unprompted work, and I hope it’s obvious that it’s been meaningful.
Huge thanks to everyone who donated a prize, present or past. I’ve been meaning to volunteer for years, but RA - count me in for a prize donation next year.
I do it up for the Oscars every year, even if the nominees or ceremony are not the most exciting. A final thank you to everyone who has participated in any Rotten Oscars for giving me something funny to read or a prompt to respond to with some ish while celebrating the evening.
I have too many posters (and already have the 007) so imma go with the Nightmare Alley tarot cards. Loved the movie, figured it wouldn’t win anything, but always have a great time with a GDT film.
Thanks again and cheers to all!
