Wow, that Hopkins actor win is a shocker for sure. He is a plenty deserving actor, but that is pretty wild.

Also, congrats theperfectree!!

I can't remember another year when my pool picks fell apart on the acting awards. Nice fake-out, Academy!

Nice catch on the end, perfecttree!
Drink like nobody's watching.

I mean I'd bet a lot on both Soderbergh and Hopkins expecting Boseman for the Oscar there, given how the show ended.

Thank you for putting this together again this year RA, especially in such an uncertain year. This always makes the awards so much more exciting.

Thanks as always to RA, binky79 and cinlabyrinth. Genuinely stoked to do this every year even as I seem to be getting worse over time. :P

Wow! Did not see a bunch of that coming. Congrats to the winners, and thanks so much RA for putting this on (and bin and cin for the prizes).

The no-host thing is not the best. You only get a moment like that with Glenn Close when it’s a host (or host stand-in) interaction.

In memoriam - this felt obscenely fast. I know it usually drags on, but I could barely process the names flashing.

Some fun moments, though. Always love an awards show, even in this weird year. Cheers to all!

theperfecttree won with a score of 19/23 and has chosen the Trial of the Chicago 7 book

With 18/23, second place was a 6-way tie. Congrats to:

Plush
Cottenmouth
Revmod
CSmiley317

abstractlyput

There are 3 remaining prizes up for grabs. I removed me and my wife (Cottenmouth) and had to get technical to make the last cut. Plush didn't post a pic (Sorry P). That leaves Revmod, CSmiley317, and abstractlyput in the mix for the last 3 prizes. Drawing coming soon. (Plush, if you want one of the remaining books, I got you.)

Looking at the final standings on runyourpool, I see that that they now list the tiebreaker difference for everybody. If there are no objections (want to be as fair and transparent as possible), we can just use that to determine who gets the remaining prizes. That would mean that Revmod, Cottenmouth, and CSmiley17 would get to pick from the remaining prizes in that order.
