Alright, its been a while since I’ve seen a giveaway and with the U.S. election right around the corner, I have an election related giveaway. The winner is the person who comes closest to guessing the final electoral count in the U.S. Presidential election.

The prizes are as follow:
1. A signed copy of Mike Mitchell’s “45.”

Image

2. A Trump Toilet Brush

Image

3. $1 for the number of the next POTUS. If Trump wins you get $45, and its $46 if Biden wins. If anyone is skilled enough to hit the final tally on the nose, I will boost the cash prize to $100.[/list]

As with most elections only the winner counts so the winner gets all 3 prizes and finishing second gets you nothing.

Here are the rules:
  • 1. While to contest is open to everyone, the print / brush will only be sent to the U.S. or Canada. Thus, if you win and you are from anywhere other than the U.S. or Canada, you can claim the cash prize if you win and may designate someone in the U.S. or Canada to receive the print / brush

    2. List your prediction in the following format Trump 269 - Biden 269 (Biden +2.3%). The number in the parenthesis represents the final popular vote margin and will be used to break a tie.

    3. One entry per EB’er.

    4. In keeping with EB rules, political commentary is not welcome. If you include political commentary with your guess your entry will be disqualified. It’s pretty easy, like guessing the score of the Atlanta - Carolina game:
Acceptable: Atlanta 13 – Carolina 28 (Carolina +78 yds)
Not Acceptable: Atlanta 13 – Carolina 28 (Carolina +78 yds) - Matt Ryan is a washed up piece of trash who should have quit when he choked in the Super Bowl.

Please quote the previous entry to keep all entries in the same post.

Are we gonna go by actual votes or just the ones SCOTUS decides to count? Evidently Kavanaugh wants to shut it down at halftime in which case, Atlanta won Super Bowl LI quite handily.

Lol. The electoral college votes on 12/14/20. Whatever that vote is will be the basis for declaring the winner. No one was likely to win in 2016 since there were 7 faithless electors...so the Clinton-Trump total was 531 and not 538. To win that year would have required a guess on Trump 304 - Clinton 227 - Colin Powell 3 - Bernie Sanders 1 - Faith Spotted Eagle 1 - Ron Paul 1 - John Kasich 1

Nah, not the new politics thread....I'm gonna hold off a few days for my guess to see which way the polls move.

Remember what happened the last time with polls? Lol. The “poll” here suggested Hilary win by something like 20 or 30%. Blue was convinced it’s going to be the same in real life. Lol.

Cool give away. Rule #4 rules, lol. I will probably participate later as well. I agree with papaver, Biden and Democrats will take it all. I will post the numbers in a few days (probably).

Luls. Which is why I ain't making a prediction dis time, although higher voter turnout almost always favors the Democrats, but dis ain't a typical year or a typical election.

^ That is true. Things are pretty drymounting insane.

I guess these comments would disqualify both of us if we chose to make predictions in these very posts. So I will leave my guesses for another time. Thanks for the loophole, jj!

The total number of electoral votes is 538...yours add up to 573. Please guess again

This is a nice place to pick the states and it adds the totals up for you

Did an unscientific gauging of the common man's choice by counting yard signs in the neighborhood on my walk .
The winner is ..."protected by ADT"
Second was Trump just one ahead of "stay off grass fertilizer applied " and Biden tied with a homemade sigh that said "pick up your dogs fudge " Either my neighbors arent very political or ADT is just killing it.

Only 3 of us in so far. I'm gonna bump the cash prize to 2x the number of the next president. So if Trump wins - $90, Biden - $92, if Trump wins and resigns, Pence takes over, Biden dies and Harris is sworn in then -$94

My guess is

Trump 230 - Biden 308 (Biden +6.7%)
