Have to say, I’m truly impressed with how badly I’m doing

Loving Conan, think he’s great.
Conan is doing a great job.
...even got in a nice little political jab there. Those of us familiar with Conan for the last few decades know he doesnt often mine that territory.

Yes! Mikey Madison!!

Voted for Demi, happy to be wrong :D
Came here to say exactly that! She was fantastic. I also picked Demi because she was the consensus safe pick, but I am heartened that my fave won instead.

(Almost) the same with Best actor , except I actually went with my fave as my pick, Adrien Brody. I have nothing against Chalamet, but having just recently seen both The Brutalist and A Complete Unknown... Iet's just say I had a strong opinion as to which was the right choice in the Actor category.

And thanks again to RA! The Rotten Oscars have long been a staple boost to my Oscars evenings :pint:

Well goodness, thanks to everyone for another fun year. Lots of tossups - this was a lot of pure luck.

Sincere cheers to y’all, esp RA and of course the prize donors. I unabashedly love Oscars night (even with whatever issues big or small), and this always adds a nice layer of engagement and excitement. Thanks again, RA.

I have a decent Fairey print collection and would be very happy to add Fragile Cargo. Been trying to dial back the print purchases over the years but this was one I wanted to pick up. Thanks so much, sidewaysscott - I’m happy to cover shipping.

Cheers again, everyone! :pint: :pint: :pint:

With 17/23, printsandpugs, onesheet, CSmiley317, abstractlyput, and cottenmouth tied for 2nd

Instead of using a random number generator to choose who gets next pick of the prizes, I think it would be more appropriate to use the "length of show" tiebreaker from runyourpool.

2nd pick: printsandpugs (+1 min)
3rd pick: onesheet (-5)
4th pick: CSmiley317 (-17)

printsandpugs, Archibald Tuttle chose Fairy's Fragile Cargo. You can choose from Ansin Avengers: Age of Ultron, Sammelin Sorcerer, or Peak Apocalypse Now 79

Missed out on the fun last night due to a sinus infection. Looked at my entry this morning, and saw that I didn't even put an entry into 2 of the categories. Not going to win or even compete that way :D

Many, many congratulations to Mr Tuttle :notworthy: A great performance considering the very topsy turvy nature of the Oscars this year.

Congrats to printsandpugs, onesheet and CSmiley317. Thanks to the other prize providers too.

As always, huge thanks to Adam for organizing this.   I've mentioned this before, but it's really the big highlight of the year for me on EB.

Anyway, back to bed.

Well this is awesome. I will very happily select that amazing Sammelin Sorcerer print. As a winner, I promise to be donating for next year! Thanks again to everyone!

Thanks to RA for jeeping this going, was fun. Thanks to the prize donors and congrats to the winners.

Tried to get my entry in but runyourpools must only be availabke to US and Canada. Got some picks in using a vpn before being kicked out each tine. Was still fun though.

Overall a good oscars. Was a little surprised Anora did so well. Hard to see how it was considered better than The Brutalist for best film. The AI controversy must have harmed it. And difficult to understand A Complete Unknown winning nothing? And Conclave only winning one? Happy for Flow and the wins for Dune and No Other Land.

Looking forward to seeing I’m Still Here, when available

Hey Sniffer85, hopefully they'll still allow for international contestants. It always did in the past. I noticed that the entire look of the site changed the day before the Oscars, so hopefully it was just an issue related to the site upgrade.

Ah no big deal. Enjoyed taking part nonetheless. Actually made me watch the films I had missed so enjoyed the show all the more. Here’s to next year :pint:
