Should be a killer Lockn'! I just saw the Branford Marsalis Quartet and there's no question those guys are at the top of the musical food chain. He nearly passed out due to the elevation here.
pretty damn awesome..I was at the GD show @ Nassau Coliseum back in 90 when he came out for the 2nd set..my first dead show :notworthy:
So cool man!

That'll be killer. Might have to try and make Lockn' happen this year.

JRAD just released the sbd for their recent show I attended in Albany. Really great, for any of you old heads who haven't dipped your toe in the JRAD pool, this is a great place to start!

Pretty excellent and nicely recorded Dark Star here
Boston Music Hall on 1972-09-16
https://archive.org/details/gd72-09-16. ... sbeok.shnf

And a snip from the night before if you need a 30 min jolt:

Too bad that Boston run doesn't exist much in sbd form - mainly a shitty AUD for the 16th and about nada for the 15th. Ah well, that which exists is good.

I'm on a binge of shows from '82. Running through the fall tour at the moment. I have the Spring shows at the Greek lined up for tomorrow.

Yah,that's not a great cut. I was midway through when I posted it.

Interested to hear what you think of Terrapin Xroads.

Listening to the Dark Star off Dicks Vol 2. Haven't listened to it in years.

Still remember getting it in the mail and how great it was to listen to that big happy jam for the first time.

Yeah, that one's a perfectly fluid set.

I was dubious at first as an older 'head (first show-4/2/73)and the first few years had a difficult time adjusting to the slowed tempo of many of the songs. Checked out a few shows with my son. Seems like the tempos have picked up this tour, and I've caught several of the streams, which I have found tasty. Just re-listened to the 2nd set from Eugene and it is off the charts. I encourage all you old school skeptics out there to take a dip in the D&Co pool. I think you'll find it enjoyable - different, w/o Jerry, but thoroughly satisfying. So, yeah, I'm back on bus!

pretty much the same for me ...although my 1st show was 9 1/2 years after yours. it took me flying out to the promised land to get back into the groove. It'll be interesting to see how the torch stays lit after Bob takes his rest but until that last day, I'm still on board.

Dark Star at Eugene was pretty nice. I could listen to Oteil, Bill ,and Mickey play all day.

ps listening to the MSG gig 11/12/17. Mayer seems to have found his space...I'd definitely go see these guys.
