Seems like the venues are gonna be too big for those crowds but I might be mistaken.

Saw them open for Tom Petty back in '07 or '08....i think somewhere in there. Always loved their music. Not sure they can sell enough tickets for those big venues but, ok. Chris is one of my favorite vocalists in rock music. Might have to try an catch them.

Saw them in 2000 when Jimmy Page toured with them. Great show. Would love to see them again.

Was there advanced notice that the ticket sale was to drop this morning? I'm not completely in the loop with shows but seemed a bit abrupt. :?

The NYC show itself was a surprise, though rumored, announcement. Low-info billboards popped up around the country starting a week or two ago indicating that they were making an run at 2020. Tix to the summer gigs are on sale.

this was my thought when I saw the announcement. I know that the venue they are scheduled to play in West Palm Beach is a huge outdoor pavilion type venue with a massive lawn area beyond an already huge seated area. id really love to catch the Crowes again but this venue choice is putting me off. Ive seen Pearl Jam 4 times at this same venue and the sound quality has always been poor. even with 10c seats (my club number is below 10k) many lines of site in this venue are obstructed by large columns and the giant screens are annoying to look at. the only musician ive seen actually fill this venue is Jimmy Buffett and that is easily expected in Florida for Jimmy.

Massive venues, tiered pricing, only the Robinson brothers. Whole thing feels like a money grab and the complete opposite of a tour for the fans.

I am inclined to concur with the comments about it being the shake your money grabber tour.

The Robinson bros will likely end up in a right good punch up and the tour will end early anyway. :P

Agreed.

Highly reccomend Steve's new book, Hard to Handle: The Life and Death of The Black Crowes.
