Both Sunn0))) and Sleater Kinney announced shows for Dallas in the past week - second half of the year is shaping up to be pretty damn great.

Anyone in the San Diego area wanting to see The Smashing Pumpkins for cheap? Opening band is Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds. Have 2 tickets I can't use @ North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre, Chula Vista, CA on Wed. Aug. 28th. These cost $87.50 (fees included) when purchased through Ticketmaster, Looking to get $35 for the pair. SEC 303, Row F. Good center location. Let me know if you're interested, Paypal for payment and tickets will be instant transfer to you via email.

Next up for me is Mogwai here in Phoenix, which I'm super excited for, then Stereolab in October.

Going to see Low in September which I'm looking forward to. Somehow never seen them before even though I've listened to them for ages.

Seen them before? I saw them twice in a week a couple years ago; whether you've seen them or not you're in for a treat, the current touring incarnation is an absolute beast.

I have not. Really looking forward to it. Heard they are breaking out some deep cuts for this 50th anniversary run.

From what I've seen of the setlists they seem to be pretty close to the ones they've been touring on the last few years; I know from an interview on DGM that Fripp had the band add 5 songs to the rotation: "there is one more from the first record , one from the second , one more from the Discipline CD, one from Beat and one more from The Power to Believe.” But honestly haven't done too much comparison to see if all five have popped up yet.
