Wish the Arenado trade would either happen or Colorado say it ain't. Tired of the endless rumors.

Good! He's about to be proven as a 2-time cheater. Reports are his punishment will be more severe than Hinch/Luhnow's. Although the cynical side of me thinks all 3 of these guys will be back in MLB, at their old positions within 5 years.
Welcome to the offseason and hot stove rumors.BENYOUNG20 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 15, 2020 1:23 pmWish the Arenado trade would either happen or Colorado say it ain't. Tired of the endless rumors.
Meh. He didn’t cheat twice so much as do it until he got caught, like everyone else. And everybody else is not being punished.

Another one bites the dust. Beltran is now out as Mets manager.
Using your brain to steal signs from 2nd base because 2 and 1 are lazy, is part of the game.
Figuring out the signs as the 3rd base coach calls them is part of the game.
Using a camera with a monitor in the hallway is not.
Yeah, technology is becoming more and more intertwined with MLB, but these assholes are not bigger than the sport.
If this were college, the penalties would be astronomical... college is about molding good people.
Another wrist slap...
Stealing signs with a camera probably won’t happen again in for a long time, but that has nothing to do with the penalties handed down. It’s more to do with the stain it’s put on the ballclub.
The public consensus is MLB was too lenient.
That’s pretty telling...

Too lenient....only because its 5 Million is the maximum fine they can impose. (from what I understand)
You're such a boy scout.turnJBup wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2020 4:54 pmUsing your brain to steal signs from 2nd base because 2 and 1 are lazy, is part of the game.

7 TERAbytes of data are produced and used/abused for each game. It's just not reasonable to pretend that the game on the field isn't 100% "tainted" (not the right word) by technology.
And, like that article said, the leagues are encouraging it as a way for fans to interact. I don't buy that this is a 100% good thing, but it's totally hypocritical to start trashing people's careers when they do it.

During an interview on FOX after his dramatic October home run, Altuve was asked why he didn't want his jersey ripped off.
"I'm too shy," he said. "The last time they did that I got in trouble with my wife."
