And just like that the NFL will overhaul overtime again.

Nobody cared about the OT rules when it was Brady beating Mahomes. Chiefs proposed the rule change and everyone, the bills included, voted against it.

The OT rules blow. Just do what they do in college.

New OT rule just in from NFLHQ: “If a regulation playoff game ends in a tie then (after a fifteen minute break) the two teams shall each return to the field to replay the entire previous season.”
just a foil for me today, thanks

The bills were the nfls best defense. It's not a rules problem it's an execution problem. The chiefs beat them. If the chiefs muffed the kick and never got on the field wouId it be unfair because their offense never got a chance? No it would have been game over.
If the bills defense stopped them instead of giving up 120 yds in 4 mins there wouldnt be any talk of rule changes. I wanted the bills but like I said bills gonna bills.

a coin toss should not play into a win,
that's gambling- not sports

there is a reason a coin has 2 flip sides
and I would debate that rule is like using a 1 sided, mutilated coin :D

if 2 bowlers have an equal score - do they flip a coin and say "if ya hit a pin, you win" ?

After a tie, the winner is determined by a drinking contest.

Go Bills!

Bowling analogy is laughable. If the game was decided by the first team to gain a yard or even a first down maybe it works. As far as the coin being 1 sided coin how come the bills couldn't call it correctly? If the bills did their job on the field it wouldn't be a discussion. Even if they held them to a FG there wouldn't be a discussion. In a test of strengths they got out muscled. End if story
The big loser is the nfl because no way any of the remaining games are as epic as this past weekend

Under these (new OT) rules, coin toss winners ended up prevailing in 52.8 percent of overtime games, per NFL Research. That's far from decisive.

But in the playoffs, coin toss winners are 10-1, winning 90.9 percent of overtime contests. Seven of the 10 winners scored the sudden-death touchdown on the opening drive.

Guessing the offenses going for broke on the first drive plays a role in the playoffs. More aggressive. I bet they win anyway if forced to play a full quarter with a 1 TD lead (assuming the scoring-first trend continued)
