I started liking him when he decided to go back to Cleveland. There was a different level of maturity that year in the way he spoke and carried himself and he finally won me over. Lebron is a beast and a class act and I'm a fan despite his annoying penchant to whine to the officials.

Yeah, I've just come to accept that mostly everyone in the league is all buddy buddy with other players for the most part. It's annoying but it is what it is.

The non-buddy buddy all stars would be headlined by Russell Westbrook and Jimmy Butler, at least.

Yup, that's why I love Russ and why I used to like Jimmy, ha.

Did anyone see the Warriors rings from yesterday? It's the first reversible championship ring to reflect their back-to-back titles. Personally, I think it was a stupid idea and hideous looking.

I agree... pretty corny.

Also, this just in... Boston is very good.

If you're gonna go gaudy (as all championship rings are), might as well do something as ridic as making em reversible.

Alright opening night - Tatum was fun, Steph did Steph things even though that game sorely needed Russ.

I wonder what kind of an impact this'll have on the NCAA? At least this way athletes can earn money. Honestly, I'm a little surprised by the NBA with this move.

Butler to the Sixers for Covingtong and Saric.

Extremely curious whether (1) the Sixers think they can retain him when he hits the market; (2) chemistry-wise it'll help or blow up spectacularly.

Minnesota was smart and sent him out East. I wonder if Jimmy will re-up with them or if he'll strictly be a rental? Not sure if this improves their chances in the East though as Toronto seems to be in firm control so far in the early portion of the season.

Initially I was all in on Butler, then all out, now oddly enough I was warming up to the idea because it was clear Boston/Toronto are much better.

This is a hell of a trade and I think we have a good chance at signing him as long as he gets along with Joel and Ben. This puts us as legit contenders now and I think there will be another move made before the deadline. I can't wait to see him in action.

Yeah, after a few games into the season I realized we were going to be a 3 seed at absolute best but more like a 4 or 5. This puts us right in contention now... and apparently Joel and Ben signed off which is huge.

I like Jimmy's fire. It'll be interesting to see how it plays out.

Yup. It's either a huge leap or a huge bomb waiting to happen. Entertaining either way.

Still more stunned at how much Kawhi's transformed the Raptors, though the issue's always been whether his health can sustain that through the season and deep into the playoffs. But if he's truly made a full recovery, wow.
