Devastated for Japan, they played a great game. What were they thinking with 2 minutes to go pushing for a winner exposed at the back. Fantastic game of ball

Indeed, that was a great game today! With a fantastic finish. Japan did do well, but that was quite a blunder at the end. They went all in, not sure why. On the other hand, their whole game was like that and it worked quite well until the last 20 minutes.

Tomorrow are hard to pick games again. I think I will be cheering for Sweden, and definitely for Columbia.

England v Colombia should be very interesting. The England team’s first real test as the Belgium game was mainly the second string team. Everyone here was pretty pessimistic before the tournament, but confidence is growing due to the way the draw has opened up on this side and also because our one truely world class player (Harry Kane) seems to be in form. Colombia are a very good side though, I think our defence is shaky and they’ll be a real threat.

Any word on whether James Rodriguez is fit to play? I reckon he will start on the bench and they will bring him on if Colombia are chasing the game.

So much talk in England about them getting the better half of the draw (plus no more Spain now) and resting the team against Belgium. Hopefully for England, the lads do not let this get to their head or it’ll be like the game against Iceland in the Euros all over again.

Finally, this is England after all, so penalty shootouts? :hanging:

From what I've seen so far England Columbia could be a game to remember. England have a lot up front and Columbia have so much energy. I honestly can't predict how it will go, just hope there's an early goal which opens the game up for attacking football. If James is not playing then maybe I'd lean towards an English win.
