REMIX - 2013 Fantasy Football D-League All Stars
WEEK 3 RECAP
I suck at fantasy
Closest game: Da Warriors won another fairly close one by 5.7 points
Biggest point differential: mobius006 won by 44.08 and put Danklax5 at 0-3
Lowest point total: Me, I suck
Biggest bench mistake: Frank Booth left Robert Woods on the bench who had 28.70 points, which is 15.2 points higher than his other 3 WRs had combined. Yikes
Most significant injury: Jimmy G may be out for the year, AJ Green got hurt, Evan Engram will miss tume
Baltimore Ravens real-life record: 2-1 after beating the Broncos, which is good because I live in "Bronco Country". Lolz
Most points in a single week (running list, for money):
Week 1 - dodgers77, 183.58
Week 2 - mobius006, 187.24
Week 3 - mobius006, 145.66
ONTO THE NEXT ONE!

WEEK 5 RECAP
I forgot to do last week, so onward to week 5.
Closest game: Another heartbreaker in the books as Ben Richards beats dodgers77 by .46
Biggest point differential: Lucky Thirteen beatsJon's Dazzling Team by 51.64
Lowest point total: DankLax5 who is now 0-5, yikes
Biggest bench mistake: There weren't a ton. If Dharma Beer starts Kenyon Drake over Amari Cooper at flex, it's marginally closer.
Most significant injury: Matt Breida, Brandin Cooks, Cooper Kupp.
Baltimore Ravens real-life record: 3-2 after losing to the Browns, a week after beating Pittsburgh at Heinz. This team is a joke right now.

Ok I missed a bunch of weeks because my EBeans login wasn't working and yada yada yada. Anyway, I realized in that time that I suck ass at fantasy and I don't understand why every year I think it will be different. So so so so bad. Even when I put up 150+ points I lose.
Anyway, enough self loathing. Here are the week high totals I missed (though the leader remains mobius006 in week 2:
Week 1 - dodgers77, 183.58

So that was actually kind of exciting. Ben Richards won by 3.18 points. If he had lost, jimmy4wmu would have jumped him into 6th place and the very last playoff spot. If FrankBooth hadn't played 2 players that were out, the playoffs would have been different. That kind of sucks.

Not done on purpose (leaving Woods out of my starts for no reason too)
As you all can see I have expressed my frustration... I definitely would like some communication from the commish or a vote of some kind.

May I point out, not just out but a player not even on an active roster... you have the ability to change this with a ruling or calling a league vote.

Ok I'm home. Here is the issue:
- Ben Richards got the last playoff spot after his win over Frank Booth by 3.18 points. Frank Booth played 2 players that were out.
- jimmy4wmu also won his game. If Ben Richards had lost, they'd have been tied for record and jimmy4wmu would have jumped into the last playoff spot because of his overall point total.
Here's my take:
- Well for one I'm annoyed that I have to deal with this on a busy Tuesday but I guess that's what a commissioner does.
- I do think it's messed up that Frank Booth started CJ Anderson. This is a player who was on his bench the week before and who has not on an NFL team since Week 10. There was seemingly no reason to put him in a starting position.
- Additionally, Desean Jackson was ruled out on Friday, 2 whole days before the Sunday games. Instead of switching him, Frank Booth kept Robert Woods on the bench. I think we all would agree he is a no-brainer starter, especially when your other WR is ruled out. Wood's points would have easily covered the points needed to beat Ben Richards and affect the playoffs.
What to do:
- I'm not sure. I open the thread to Frank Booth to defend himself if he'd like. I don't see why he would throw the game but his roster issues did change the outcome of the season.
- I checked and I do have the ability to replace Ben Richard's playoff spot with jimmywmu. I know that really sucks for Ben Richards, so I'm going to leave it for a vote:
By typing Ben Richards - You think he won fair and square. It does not matter what other teams do with their roster, his team had more points and he deserves the last playoff spot.
By typing jmmmy - You think Frank Booth's roster issues played too large a role and jimmy4wmu deserves the last playoff spot.
At the end of the day, thread participation has been low so I wouldn't be surprised if there is a low vote count. If you want to contact other members, go for it but I don't have the time.
A tie goes to Ben Richards.
EDIT: I originally voted for jimmy4wmu however I think I'm switching sides.

No reason to throw a game
Kept up with my team until the last game and not properly moving people in (while being pulled elsewhere to deal with stuff)
That's about as much as I want to get into it. Obviously a board and community I've participated actively in for a number of years now, isn't the place I want to cause headache or animosity.
Apologies to the commish and especially JImmy and Ben.

I feel like my post had a bit of a finger-pointy tone, and if so I apologize. I do not think you threw the game, I am just sympathizing with other team's complains. I'm sorry to hear you've had to deal with excess stuff outside the norm.FrankBooth wrote:That's about as much as I want to get into it.
