I asked him why he needs the edition number? anyone come across this, some fetishist for the number 13 or 69 or something?
annoys the fudge outta me when they ask what the edition number is. they have no reason why they even want to know. it's beyond stupid. if they are asking for an edition number... .it pretty much means they are not going to buy it and are just wasting your time.
Agree soupy, really dumb. Ebayer did write back:
'I am into numerology and always interested in numbers. I believe numbers have an energy. That's my quirk [emoji with monocle]'

Uhhhh. think i need to block this freak before they ask for any other items out of my house.

If someone asks me more than 3 times and it's something that hasn't sold for a long time... Maybe I'll go dig it out. MAYBE. But probably not even then.

Its the same as any business that sends you money for services rendered, $600 or more in a year and you get a 1099. It's been that way since I was a child. E-commerce finally catching up

I'm impressed, you learned the 1099 rules as a kid! :D

Maybe I start issuing 1099s for every poster I buy over $600. Sell me a poster and get a 1099

How does PayPal report my sales to the IRS? Will I receive a tax Form 1099-K?
PayPal will track the payment volume of your account to check whether your payment volume exceeds both of these levels in a calendar year:

$20,000 USD in gross payment volume from sales of goods or services in a single calendar year
200 payments for goods or services in the same year
Some US States require merchant reporting at a lower threshold:
Vermont, Massachusetts, Virginia, Maryland: $600 USD in gross payment volume from sales of goods or services in a single calendar year regardless of the number of transactions;
Illinois: $1,000 USD in gross payment volume from sales of goods or services in a single calendar year with at least 3 payment processed
You may be asked to provide your tax identification number (TIN), such as a Social Security Number (SSN) or Employer Identification Number (EIN), to your existing account, if you don’t already have one on file. If your TIN fails verification, you’ll need to fill out an equivalent tax form W-9.

If you cross the IRS thres
holds in a given calendar year, PayPal will send Form 1099-K to you and the IRS for that tax year, the following year.

Never has an ebayer that asked the specific number of a print completed a purchase. I think they are just hoping to find a #1/xxx but even then they wouldnt pay the value. From now on when someone asks Im going to tell them one number over the edition size and convince them its its an elite AP.

ebay finally moved me to managed payments, then I sold a poster through global shipping program.

Today buyer sends me pics of a totally mangled tube and mildly creased print.

The tube has brown tape on it, i use clear but whatever, maybe they tried to fix it.

Anybody have experience with this? I sent it priority USPS and was insured but seems like this is an ebay GSP issue, not mine?
confirmed delivery in erlanger KY for the GSP hub.

I would call ebay and explain. In my experience, they usually have the buyer request a return and then ebay will refund them without taking the money from you.

what Kram said above. definitely be proactive, chat/call them and explain. they'll take the onus on them as you delivered it safely to GSP facility. that is what you are responsible for.

when you are creating a listing, why is there an option to accept returns or not accept returns, if eBay forces you to accept returns no matter what? They also force the seller to pay return shipping even if the item was listed as "returns not accepted", and i'm now learning will not reverse final value fees either.... any advice?
