The print is over 10 years old and still needs to be held to stay "flat". Good stuff.

eBay 112979410641

Another 10+ year old print with a serious case of the rolls. Held together by some dubious looking clips. And "wrinkles".

Toe pic beats old slipper pic that someone here once used in their FS thread.

So I won an auction for a print off eBay. Seller now messages me and says that I need to pay more for shipping because the print is too big. Should I just pay up or should I insist on the shipping price that was listed (and which I have paid)?

Pay what is listed. He should have figured it out.

i guess it depends on how bad you want it. if you pay what's listed and he refunds you you are screwed. i guess you could always pay what he wants and request partial refund once you have your print. seller sounds like a donkey

What is it, an extra tenner? Pay it, be happy. Life’s too short.

I would probably pay, depending on how much extra the seller is asking for, of course. On the other hand, from the seller's perspective, I would probably ship the print regardless of buyer's actions (paid/not paid the extra). Of course it all depends on the language used. If the seller comes off as a douche, I would tell them to drymount off. Other than that, fudge happens and we drymount up, be it our own fault or eBay or whatever else.

It’s a £100 print from UK. Paid £18 for shipping as listed. Now he wants £20 more. I probably would not have bid as high as I did if I knew shipping was £38. Yes, that is in pounds, not dollars. I guess I could live with an additional £10, but £20 is a bit much.

Oh well, decided to stand my ground and if he flakes out, so be it.

Thanks for all the advice.

Also, I can’t seem to make an additional payment through eBay. As far as eBay is concerned, I’ve paid for the goods and done my part. I suppose I could send a separate payment through PayPal but that seems like it will cause problems if I need a full refund for whatever reason.

20 more pounds on a 100-pound print I would probably pass on the additional payment as well.

What is the size of the print? I'm based in the UK and when I ship international, including cover, it usually runs £18-22 for a 24x36 print. That being said on a couple of occasions I've gotten into arguments with the post office staff because they don't know how to measure diameter and miscalculate the size or choose the wrong postage option (below 2KGs they should be selecting Small Parcel).
