I'm pretty sure some global shipping customers are destroying fudge on purpose. Sometimes they can find another deal or whatever. They always have your back though. best seller protection when shipping internationally on ebay

For those of you who made the switch from basic worldwide shipping to GSP, did you experience a significant increase in international buyers/sales, after making the switch to GSP?
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

As someone outside of America, I avoid the Global Shipping Program. I've recently gotten back into baseball cards and the mark up for the global shipping program is ridiculous on those lower end items. $15-20 US for shipping on an item that's $2-5. Pitney Bowes and Ebay are making a fortune off of your customers.

+1. I will not buy anything from a seller on eBay who's listing's show GSP. Every other person I know is the same, no one buys from GSP sellers on eBay. That being said there have to be enough people buying from GSP sellers as I see it in enough completed listings. <<< If I had to guess it would be for auction listings where the person got a great deal or got into a bidding war or an item that is rare and hard to find elsewhere.

Precisely why I don't sell through GSP. Just begging for a neg feedback hit.

i have used GSP in the past due to ease of use on my part..... but am reconsidering. i think it increases non-payment as buyers see an extra charge that they refuse to pay.
what is the best way to handle INTL shipping? is it just to set to "actual cost"? a flat rate doesn't work because of the large diff in cost between canada and (lets say) europe for example. is there a way to set flat rates by country (or continent)?

Yes.
I set one for the US, Canada and then the rest of the world, but you can get more specific than that.

ahhh.... i see. i was using the "quick list" feature (with trimmed down options).
if i switch to the "advanced tool", i see it allows you to breakout by country.
thanks.

Gotta ask, what's the benefit to the GSP? How is it any different than having insurance on regular mail?
Side note - my zero feedback buyer was a success. Being paranoid I even video taped the packaging and walk to the post office with a go pro. Tube didnt leave the frame once. Thanks to all for the input.
