Ahhh.. just bought the x-wing....

Couldn't convince you to give the DS a go? Have you built any of the recent UCS ships? The Slave 1 is amazing. R2 is kinda tedious, as is the x-wing... I'm on the fence about the Sandcrawler.

I'm in Canada and it costs more to ship everywhere, so get over it.

Tedious was a harsh assessment on the UCS x-wing. I enjoyed it mostly. But the wings are basically the same x4. Oh, and have fun with that ridiculous canopy sticker. At least they gave us 2...
Anyway it IS an amazing display piece. HUGE.

Nice display! I've got similar floating shelves for my ships and modulars. Props on that Hot Toys Robocop and Ed, too.

Do those shelves need to be into a stud?

I have the long ikea floating shelf that holds all my modulars - a couple screws are in studs, a couple aren't. I didn't trust it at all and reinforced it with two brackets on either side. Feel much better about it now.

there are some serious drywall screws you can get that will hold 70+ pounds. They work very well. I had some studs that were just too far apart and had to use them myself.

who did you ask? I went to mine today and they said you can only get it by buying the $40 worth of Star Wars Legos.
