They retail for $399 US.

I'm pretty sure I purchased my Death Star for $320 in November of 2012 during the black friday sale. I think it was 10% off + double VIP point and that's where I got the other $40 off (sort of). I paid $360 out of pocket but then got an extra $30-40 in VIP points right away + the free little Christmas set from that year. Or at least this what how I pitched it to my wife in order to convince her we had to buy RIGHT NOW and it would never be cheaper!

With those pivot plates on the chimney, looks like it will open up too! It will be mine, oh yes, it will be mine! (and now I see in the smaller thumbnail shots that it does open up, awesome) Any ideas on release date? I have a birthday coming up in March that this would be PERFECT for! :D
Deadareus wrote:^^^ Awesome. We moved all of our Winter Village sets when we took the tree down this week. I haven't put them away yet though. Soon, I expect.

I love the bookend displays on the far end of the table. They look awesome. That Gingerbread House is awesome as well.

I'm surprised at how tall the carousel is compared to the bakery etc. I guess it makes sense. While I really like this set... I don't really think it translates all that well into a north american Christmas holiday. Not where I live anyways. I guess there are winter carnivals in North America, but it's too damn cold to be riding a carousel.
Yeah the carousel was a stretch for me too on the imagery, but its a cool set and I love that the crank rotates it. Hoping to see a more traditional one this year though. And those bookend display sets from 2011 are my favorite out of all the small sets. LOVE them. Hope they do that kind of set again, and tired of the splitting the sets in two to get more orders, LEGO really knows how to gouge us!

I just read the Simpsons house should be available in April. A late birthday present!

Is that picture Legit? 2500+ pieces seems a lot and that could easily be a £140 set with so many pieces?

Yeah, that's a HUGE set for the Simpsons house. It COULD be fake, but if so it's a good image.

If it is real, the quick e mart, Moe's and the other sets could look tiny next to the house if not done properly. Only time will tell. I imagine it won't be a cheap series either. I'm sure the licensing rights are pretty high on this one.

Yep. Also, I thought I heard somebody say the next set of minifigs is gonna be Simpsons themed. Is this still the rumor?
