Scuba dive masters used to tell us not to go to close to these as they were powerful enough to break your thumb...always thought it was apocryphal, but obviously not keen to test it. Savage little beasties, but also quite beautiful colouring on them.

They also have 12 different photoreceptors in their eyes whereas humans only have 3. This makes them capable of seeing some aspects of the visible light spectrum that we can't even comprehend. Interesting little critters those things are.
