Has anyone else tried this year's batch of Parabola?

There was a whole shelf full at Trader Joes for $10 no limit. I think I bought too many...

Wow, I got the last one at my local shop a couple weeks back. Haven't had it yet, was thinking about comparing sometime to the bottle I still have from last year.

Got some 2014s/2015s here in Wisconsin if anyone wants to trade (in person) for fresh IPAs or fruits/meads. Hard for me to finish a BCBS anymore....drink like half the bottle and save the rest for the next day
Where in WI are you?

I recommend Pips Meadery to you! Baker turned me on to them just south of wisconsin border illinois, very tasty meads!

Awesome! I’ll have to do a road trip one of these days

They have Bos Meadery here in Madison which is decent but mostly blended / watered down. There is a place called Cider Farm (organic) here that make a cider with honey (Cyser) which is pretty good, but still not really mead.

That's a weird place for it. Never seen TJs carry Firestone fudge. I haven't had the 2018 regular yet, but did like the coconut rye I had on tap.

The coconut rye parabola is good if you like strong coconut brews. I thought the 2017 was better but the 2018 might need time to balance out. I'm guessing it wasn't brewed in house though. Boulevard perhaps?

That's funny. I thought the coconut comes through the weakest in the mix. Barely there at all until it warms.

I had it at their "from the barrel" event on release day and I thought it was a great BA coconut stout. The lady said it was her favorite "strong ale" of the evening as well. The reg parabola was not as good as I remembered though.

I live near Hilldale, PM me if you want to trade. I don't have a ton of IPAs at the exact moment, but I will be going out to NY in July.
