Beer - trading & discussion
Just a follow up - we did the Biltmore thing and that gobbled up a whole day and emptied my wallet. Beer offerings there sucked. No Burial on tap but plenty of Fat Tire and beer of that ilk. Even the winery was disappointing. The majority of the wines use juice that's not grown on the estate. The big excitement there was the annual custom Christmas wine labels for this year. Meh. It's basically a tourist trap for affluent middle aged pasty people.
Did not end up near Burial. Transportation there isn't what I expected. Most of the time we were lucky to get a ride share car between our hotel, downtown and the airport. Had to rely on car services which were ok, but you have to schedule rides and it's a minimum of $40 a ride. Really cut into my beer budget.
Ended up stumbling into Wedge Brewing which is a tiny spot in a shopping arcade. Beers were fine, nothing to write home about. Then also hit up New Origin on our last night. It's a new brewery kinda in the middle of nowhere but the Pina Colada seltzer and their Haze Bois were magnificent. Atmosphere was very chill and sparse. They're definitely thriving solely on their beer reputation. They had a Barrel Aged offering but I didn't end up trying it.
Wedge mini flight
Tropical goodness on a cold day

BCBS and variants dropped here last week. No more Black Friday fudge. 2019 is the last year I sought out this beer. My interest/hobby in "good beer" significantly dropped over these last 3 years. I have around 20 BCBS beers dating back to 2013 that I need to drink before buying any more. Good thing these just sit on shelves year-round now.
This thread used to be poppin on Black Friday. Is anyone going out for anything "special"? Or, are you just as worn out as I am?
Worn out.
I pick up a 4 pack here and there from root and branch but I've started buying bourbon, which unfortunately is the exact thing I said I wouldn't do. But tbh I'm more into the sit n sip lately, and most of the time a 2 finger pour sets me right. Less hangover/calories etc.
That said I'll grab a reg bcbs this year and maybe snag a few if they hit online but def not chasing/trying.

Yeah was into the bcbs and bourbon but man in denver everyone else is too and just not worth waiting/rushing/omgz etc. I’ll just stick to what I have and can casually find.
pay via paypal, use credit card, file dispute at the 20 day mark if suspicious. don't deal with noobs. don't trade with noobs. request feedback ahead of time. there are lots of good people 'round here.
