I was surprised to see a bunch of those at the whole foods in Monterey this week. In hindsight, I definitely should have bought more than one.

I actually enjoy it more with some age. That bite is gone which for me is a little much. More honey comes through with some age that I have really enjoyed.

In my opinion it (Hopslam) turns into a malt bomb after a few months or less (which is why the cans intrigue me if if allows it to stay fresher longer).
If the bite of an IPA or a double IPA gets to you, that style of beer isn't probably your cup of tea

No, this is specific to hopslam for me. I like plenty of IPAs. There's just something to Hopslam that I like it after it chills out some.

Don't give up on flanders yet. The dissident is ~11% ABV which isn't typical for the style.

It can be hit or miss for sure...I've had it on tap when it was really good and I couldn't stop drinking it and I've had it in bottles where it was close to a drain pour. It's defitately inconsistent, even among batches in the same year it seems

Hopslam just might be my fav DIPA and I'm not big DIPA fan in general. Hope we get more out here this year. #realtalk

I just picked one up. You know you are supposed to let it sit for almost a year, right? There's a best after date on the side.
