Big boy share last night! That FO and VR were neck and neck from the start, but the VR pulled slightly ahead. Really appreciated the extra dimension that the rye added. :pint:

It was good, but fell a short of expectations. I felt like it couldn't decide what it wanted to be. 50% aged in rum barrels and 50% aged in apple brandy barrels. Wish CCB would go in one direction, instead of doing a two barrel blend.

Best rum barrel I've had has to be Cycle RareR DOS
Best apple brandy barrel I've had is a toss up between 4 Hands AB Woodsman and Prairie AB Noir

All three of those beers, I'd place above the DB Huna. Still glad to finally tick it off my beer bucket list though. :D

RareR DOS has the edge, in my opinion. It seems thicker than PB and does this amazing job of coating your teeth with sweet sugary molasses while the rich rum flavors soak into your taste buds.

might be a good week to hit central waters for my midwest friends..
Also, the latest beer off of our pilot system - a bourbon barrel aged vanilla bean stout! This is a new stout recipe that we aged for 1 1/2 years in bourbon barrels and added vanilla beans to! We don't have much of this so it will only be available on draft at the brewery - it will not be available for growlers or crowlers

Sounds like it might be better than Fundamental Observation

I made the mistake of getting the new enjoy by 4/20 today. I think that's at least two or three in a row that were bad. Probably won't be making this mistake again.

Now I need to wash it down with one of these.

FO is solid, but for me, its a vanilla bomb. too much vanilla is a bad thing, for me.

hard to go wrong with Central Waters, it seems. they have some stout sitting in maple bourbon barrels. home to snag some of that. was in barrels at the anniversary party. and the bba maple syrup was pretty damn good.

ive only really enjoyed the unfiltered enjoy by. otherwise, normally skip over them.

Stone is 100% dead to me. As is Ballast Point. And Clown Shoes.
