Beer - trading & discussion
I think all the magnums were $140. Pretty much everyone in the front of the line snapped up the Vintage. It was the "OMGStoutDurieuxKurtz" of the bunch (and will probably be treated the same, traded or sold but rarely enjoyed by the original purchaser)
In my head $140 for a mag of fuzzy is cheap considering secondary on it if you wanted one. I know all the guys from Southern Grist were in line since they were in town for Crider Fest. Not sure what they each snagged though.

Do you know how many of each variety were for sale?chalkdust wrote:Surprisingly busy for such baller prices, looked like around 150 people or more. I wasn't the only one who stepped away after the Vintage 14 was gone though. Sure would have liked to score one of those

There were about 20 each of Vintage and Blended and 25-30 each of Balaton and Fuzzykansasbbq wrote:Do you know how many of each variety were for sale?chalkdust wrote:Surprisingly busy for such baller prices, looked like around 150 people or more. No- I could have, but decided to pass. I already had a Fuzzy mag and traded it. I've had all of these beers out of mags before aside from Blended. Vintage 14 mag was the best, then balaton mag, then fuzzy mag. The vintage being in the mag really changed the beer- it was far better out of the mag then the small format. The others (balaton and fuzzy) were not very different in mag format than the small format at all.kansasbbq wrote:^You get one?
While mag's are kinda cool, it's really a novelty item at best. My one friend got two of the vintage 14 mags and my other friend grabbed a Blended mag.

My buddy waited in line for that crap and got a fuzzy mag. He actually keeps, or trades and then keeps/drinks what he's traded for. I'd sell that fudge, but I also wouldn't wait in line for it, so I guess it's a nonstarter.

I would trade it... all day. Traded mine for four bottles of Fundamental Observation. No regretsbryndavies wrote:My buddy waited in line for that crap and got a fuzzy mag. I'd gladly pay that (it's drinking quite nicely right now). Unfortunately a lot of places out here have it at $30 and up.
