How many did you go with?

It came out to $34 each and I got 4 bottles the first time around. I'm still on the fence about whether I should grab a couple more, of if I should get a couple extra bottles of White Chocolate and two extra sours instead.

I was too slow for the hoarders cuvee too though.

I've never really been one to calculate IBUs, so I'm not sure.

I actually moved up the additions for this one from what I normally do since it was going to be such a high ABV, felt it needed some hop presence on the finish to balance the high alcohol content.

For my pales/IPAs up to 7-8% I've really gotten used to focusing all the hops on 15 mins or less. It pretty much removes that traditional trailing bitterness and leaves the finish really clean and crisp. Check out a technique called "hopbursting", depending on whose definition you find this method is something along those lines. :pint:

Don't want to get ahead of myself but I can't remember being this excited about a homebrew just in the primary. It's a DIPA featuring Citra, Motueka, Galaxy hops and the grain bill is loosely modeled after Pipeworks Ninja vs. Unicorn. It's already approaching the desired orangish appearance 5 days in and has an outrageous passionfruit aroma coming from the blowoff jug.

Can post the recipe and report back if anyone is interested. Cheers! :pint:
I brew about an hour west, off I90, from you... +/- based on your actual Chiberia location.
Nice! If you have the space and have any interest in growing hops, feel free to hit me up. I'm in Pilsen and grow Centennial in my backyard and also tend Centennial and Cascade at a local community garden. Mid-April is usually the best time to share some starts but who knows given the tropical winter we're having...

It's a fascinatingly intelligent plant but also a beastly weed so you need to have a good setup to get the most of it.

Ended up making the trip for Dinner today. Took about an hour. Left there, got in line at Bissell Brothers and got a call that my dad got rushed to the hospital, because he fell in the kitchen and my mom found him unresponsive. Immediately left, drove 3 hours home, and rushed to the hospital. Turns out he has Influenza A, and just blacked out, cracked a rib on the kitchen counter. I don't know if it's just the circumstances surrounding the day, but that Dinner tastes phenomenal!

Found some Sump today. I hear it's pretty good. Figured I'd pick up a few.

If you were able to pick up a few that's a solid score. It was 1 per here. My beer guy held me a bottle so atleast managed to snag the one. Went and picked that up last night and a couple 6ers of High Westified, love that my closest liquor store still has 4 cases.
