Was reading an article on craft beer. Crazy that craft beer still only accounts for 10% by volume of the entire beer industry. This graph also surprised me. Assuming the data is correct, there were more U.S. breweries in 1873 than what we have now.

Growth by state. Come on Alaska, get with it.

The rumors are true! Parabajava, our Parabola infused with Intelligentsia coffee, is being released in bottles for the first time ever! The beer goes on sale Friday, Nov. 27th at our brewery (10am) & Barrelworks (11am) only. Four-bottle max per person, two-bottle max starting Saturday, Nov. 28th. Very limited, you've been warned.
this is a very limited release (only 600 cases total) and will not see distribution.
fudge, I want this so bad. Please PM me if anyone in Cali can help me out, I'll be back home in Chicago for Thanksgiving.
One would think if you are going to be in Chicago, you should be able to run around and pick yourself up a small pile of BCBS varieties and just make a trade happen.
Agreed.

I'll be at Firestone this Friday... SHITE!
Go back a week from then with some friends, please!!!

And yes Baker, hopefully that's how I'll end up getting some :)

Have a bunch of Hardywood gingerbread stout. Anybody interested in trading for it? Not looking for nothing in particular so just PM me if interested.

I would assume that because it was much more difficult to distribute, you either had a small scale brewer close by or you didn't drink much beer.

Here's the article I pulled that from, but they don't really talk about that far back. Just more about current growth.

Picked up some Pure Hoppiness last night. Very good! Also noticed these are actual Alpine bottles, and no mention of Green Flash anywhere. Sierra Nevada released their 35th Anniversary Ale on Monday as well.

***EDIT: Guess PH is produced and distributed by Green Flash after all... http://www.brewbound.com/news/green-fla ... nationwide

SN also dug up a bunch of 30th Anniversary Fritz and Ken Stout bottles they had stored away. They are $35 each at the brewery. Which makes this pic from 2010 sting a bit.
