I went to check out and two lines were open: one was staffed by the guy I knew to be the beer dept manager, the other was a woman with purple hair and gold fronts. I went to her. She scanned the first one and the computer started beeping -- the limit alarm -- and I say all innocent, oh, is something wrong? She pounds the keyboard a few times and the beeping stops, and she says, "naw, I'm from the hood, that fudge ain't no problem." I chose the right line.
Can you imagine the beer dept. manager ripping her a new one? "I can't believe you just sold $100 worth of beer, when you only had authorization to sell $20 worth of said beer to that customer! Quit making so much money for this store, or I will be forced to take disciplinary action."

I found myself laughing about how ridiculous limited beer has gotten last night when I saw a guy with his girlfriend and also her friend in tow in order to buy three four-packs of Backwoods Bastard.

Hey Sax, Noble Ale is releasing bottles of their 2014 LA IPA Grand Champ. Might be worth a visit!

Available for purchase in the tasting room. No bottle limit.

Just picked up a case of Founders Breakfast Stout... Unfortunately they didn't over order this year so it wasn't discounted this year.
