I don't typically like scotch ale that much, but Dirty Bastard is stellar.admhall wrote:

A lot of mn folks in this thread. We need to put together a bottle share
I have had all of them except this nugget: T39. Troegs Nugget NectarVytis33 wrote:http://www.homebrewersassociation.org/n ... s-america/
I've got 28 of these checked off. Pretty much drink IPA's exclusively so all those stouts, etc are a no-go. Any of you alchies hit them all? My money is on Zef.

Only got like 5-6 of these that I can recall tasting, but seeing Tank 7 on the list made me smile. Such a good brew.Vytis33 wrote:http://www.homebrewersassociation.org/n ... s-america/

I keep hearing so many great things: anyone with access to Founders want to set up a trade for CA stuff not available in their area? I did "Find our Beer" on their website within 1000 miles of my zipcode...nada.
I can get some great stuff from Evil Twin, Russian River, Ballast Point, Uncommon, Stone, and other CA places, and a limited selection of sours from the PNW. Difficulty: I won't be able to find Pliny and I'd really want some Breakfast Stout or, since we're playing the pipe-dream game, KBS.
Edit: looks like I'm covered, thanks everyone.

I have had all but five from the top 50:
5. Alchemist Heady Topper
11. Founders Kentucky Breakfast Stout
T39. Troegs Nugget Nectar
45. Surly Abrasive
T47. Great Lakes Edmund Fitzgerald
Kind of surprised by the inclusion and placement of a few. For example, I've always liked Black Butte, but never considered it a remarkable porter. Ditto for 60 Minute.

Yeah Black Butte, eh, its good but not magical good. Lists are always odd.ceevee wrote:I have had all but five from the top 50:

You need to hit someone up for some Abrasive this Winter, it should be higher IMO when fresh, it can stand toe to toe with any Double IPA out there. I may be biased...but yeah, its damn good.
