I dumped half of mine out. I like a sour, but this one tasted off to me.

Really? I loved it. Although, I woke up with quite the headache today, and had the shits.

Oh, just had several beers with Fredo, and a pleasure as always. On and nice seeing peacedog, although, I highly doubt he visits this thread. :D

So this is opaque black and tastes like seawater and sour patch kids poured over a smoldering log of hickory. I like it.

Cigar City Brewery did a "silent" release of Brandy Barrel Aged Hunahpu this week. Lots of butthurt on the forums over on beeradvocate. Was able to get 2 bottles for myself, but many others were not so lucky. To that end, what are your guys' thoughts? Do you prefer an announced release or a silent release for highly sought after beers?

I think it's a great idea because to many people hoard these bottles or sell them for an huge mark up. This way I feel more people will be able to grab one. I have seen somebody trying to sell this bottle for $150 already so it could do the opposite and drive the price up more than other BA hunah's. imo

Had it. Loved it.. . paired it with a juicy hamburger on brioche buns with twice baked potatoes.
It was worth the $15 I paid for it.
