Niiice. Teen Titans Go has well overstayed its welcome, time to get back to some serious superheroing.

I got my October subscription in. It sucks that the comic book store, that I've been ordering my subscriptions from, can no longer afford to offer such a subscription because Marvel makes it difficult for stores to carry certain variants with their ordering system.

Bone is gonna be an animated movie! I have a feeling it will all come down to the voice cast.

Discussion of the Aja Scarlet Witch posters that Mondo released this week led to wishing for prints of his Hawkeye and Iron Fist covers, which led to me sharing this album of some of my custom bound comic hardcovers:

So I figured I'd share it here to keep it in a more relevant spot. I discovered this particular hobby a few years back, and I've got plenty more projects to add to the shelves eventually. I'm happy to share details on anything, just ask :pint:

You mentioned this in the Mondo thread, too, and I didn't reply there so I'm replying here. I agree that the voice casting is crucial (for example, I always heard Sam Elliott in my head when reading the Great Red Dragon's dialogue). I'm curious about the animation style, as well. Gone are the days of traditional 2-D animation, I'm afraid, but I always hoped that's how this one would be done (like Bakshi's Lord of the Rings or something). Who knows, though; Kung Fu Panda and story within the story parts of The Little Prince are vastly different, so I guess we'll see.

Picked up Ed Brubaker's new TP, Kill or Be Killed, yesterday. Continues to be one of the best writers around, in my opinion. Can't wait for the next one.

Much like sandman and elfquest I've given up on a bone movie ever actually being released. They've started those projects so many times at this point and they always seem to sputter out.

been reading it monthly (I love the extras at the back of his issues) and agree, that team continually pushes the medium and really just is head and shoulders above anyone else working right now. (Close second: Remender and Opina)

Brubaker & Phillips are the definition of a master duo.

If you didn't hear already, sorry that we won't be seeing Bernie for the foreseeable future. Hopefully he has some easier days ahead. Immense talent would be an understatement.

I'm not a super avid comic collector. Mostly X-Men stuff from the 80s/90s. All are just stored in boxes and bagged and boarded. But I've got one I'd really like to get framed up. Any advice on how to go about framing a comic?

Michael's makes a float frame for Comics, it would also depend on if the comic is going to be kept in a bag/board or not.

A place like this makes some specific ones: http://www.gradecomstore.com

Sorry, maybe I should clarify. Not just your standard black frame. Something more "custom frame" style. But with out damaging the comic itself

Just discovered this guy on FB. May see what he can do
https://www.facebook.com/CustomComicDisplays/

I guess what I was really asking for was some "inspiration". Maybe some people here have custom framed some comics

I find comics hard to read in a frame.
