Someone gets its it. The only thing that cant come soon enough is backwards compatibility so I can play Skate.

So, I have Ground Zeroes, but never bothered to actually play more than a few minutes of it. Should I play that before starting Phantom Pain, or is Ground Zeroes repeated at the beginning of Phantom Pain?

It will only take you 20 minutes if ya rush through it. I think it also unlocks some other stuff in phantom pain if you have done it.

Play it. It's important to the narrative. It's also pretty short and sweet.
Ground Zeroes is not repeated at the start of TPP. TPP picks up 9yrs after the events of GZ.
It was initially the first chapter of The Phantom Pain, before Konami split them in two and used it as a tech demo/cash grab, so it really ought to be viewed and played as an integral part of the full release.

Having a GZ save (and extracting certain prisoners) unlocks a whole bunch of recruits in TPP (who become accessible after completing further missions/side ops).
I think there may be a few extra bonuses too (outfits, etc) and possibly the chance to revisit the camp.
And if you have an early copy then there's a dlc slip for more recruits/Mother Base staff.

Now if only Cuntnami would fix their servers so I can use my DLC and upload my Ground Zeroes file, that'd be grreat....i don't want to miss out on the GZ recruits that become available from mission 3.

CE is in the mail, had the chance to get a re copy last week

Its not hurting you to much, better access to levels sooner to build better guns but nothing to kill progress. game is long.

Well, as long as the unlocks still unlock retroactively in accordance with my overall progress (or by replaying a mission) then i'll be happy. But if they only occur on the 1st completion of a mission or straight don't unlock then i'ma be grumpy as hell.

But yeah, i'm not gonna delay my play just because the servers have gone to fudge. MGS V is too much fun for that.

I don"t like that it only recognizes the DLC whilst online, though. That seems dumb to me. I got notifications that I had it all when I first booted, took a break, the servers crashed and now it says they're unavailable.
