I've been around. Just not here. And nowhere in particular. Guess focused on work. How's everyone doing? Miss anything?

I'd be a whole lot more scared if I was not vaccinated. I guy at work who didn't want the vaccine has been off for 2+ weeks and his wife has turned his phone off. I told him that if he got that mess he should get a script for Fluvoxamine. I suppose he either makes it or he doesn't.

*Sarcasm of course, I don't tell the pilot I know better than him when I get on a plane because I'm not a drymounting idiot that read an article my aunt Mary posted on Facebook about how to fly a plane and I trust people that are smarter than me in their respective fields.
Smart guy. I heard blocking calls from weak libs increases the efficacy of a Novichok, Ivermectin and Windex cocktail by 320%.jjttdw wrote: ↑Tue Sep 14, 2021 9:58 amI'd be a whole lot more scared if I was not vaccinated. just a foil for me today, thanks
Took my 4runner to Firestone for engine/maintenance. They damaged it... I am so sad. Service tech failed to put it in park and it rolled backwards w/the door open. Hyper-extended the door backwards and will not shut. This 4runner has been my only vehicle since I purchased in late 1997 from Toyota dealer. I mean it's... like... part of the family after so long.

They're getting 3 quotes from body shops. Damage happened this past Friday. The rep at the shop called me, yesterday, and asked me to come in and pay for the engine work. I'm... like ... yeah, I don't feel comfortable doing that until I see the finished repair of the door. Claims it's their 'policy' - they can't move my vehicle off their property (move it to body shop) until repairs are paid for. I called their corp office (site 800 #) to escalate my claim regarding this. They are paying for my car rental. Still... feel like it takes some 'big ones' to ask me to come in and pay before they've repaired the door. ??? Hope this doesn't get messy and I'll need to go to the State AG's Office to get help.
I really don't want them to total it, blue. I've taken such good care of my 4runner. Yeah, it needs new paint; other than that, it's in great shape. I can get another 200K miles on this vehicle... lol... prob won't live long enough to see that, but still...

I wouldn't want to pay them until it was fixed either. As far as I am concerned you are even until they make your vehicle right or provide adequate compensation. If they want to get paid quickly they shouldn't trash your car. Simple.

My logic to those morons would be: I will pay for the repairs if the car is not totaled. If the car is totaled then any repairs and the associated bill are meaningless. The value of the car, if totaled, is the same with or without their repairs.
Think about it. If they damaged it before they worked on it, you would certainly not have the repairs done if the car is totaled.

Hell's no, they're on the hook to get the repairs done, get the car back to their shop, inspect it, and then return it to you and settle up.
THEY'RE the ones getting the work done, not you, as far as you're concerned the car is still at the shop.
Sounds like a sleazy drymounting business IMHO.
