^ that is cool, but the reason stuff like that is being "unearthed" is because the permafrost is all melting away which has been there for literally 100s of thousands of years. =(

Definitely Grey Wind.
Or Jerry.
just a foil for me today, thanks
Figured as much. The difference with pretty much everywhere else is still striking though. I drove as far as maybe 80 miles north of Myrtle Beach and the roads remained great. I am assuming it changes the further inland you go.ToonKiller wrote: ↑Fri Jun 07, 2019 12:51 pmThe roads are good in Myrtle Beach because they have to put lipstick on that pig to keep those tourist dollars coming in. The rest of the state lives up to it being the 6th most federally dependent state in the country.
Overall, I was actually pretty impressed. Perhaps because my expectations were rock bottom though. Was in Florida once almost two decades ago and that was enough to never go again. Maybe it changed in 19 or so years, but I doubt it changed for the better and not really willing to check it out.
Like I mentioned before and I kept to my plan, I did not really talk to people more than I had to. The red vibe is definitely there, but it is kind of mixed, even from the “southern” types. Not sure how to explain, but that was my impression. They voted for Obama, and they did it twice, didn’t they, unless I am mistaken?
Haven’t seen one of these before though:
A black girl at a gas station, when she found out I was from Canada, said “It must be nice in Canada, huh?” Kind of threw me off track, lol.
Luls. Actually had to check. So was it the NC then? I must have been drunk when that thought settled in my mind.
Edit: just checked NC and they voted for the guy once. Chose Romney the second round around. Must have been thinking about that then.
SC didn’t vote for a Democrat since Carter. Pretty much like Alberta here. Luls.

Horns are growing on young people’s skulls. Phone use is to blame, research suggests.

I haven't read the article, but I have never seen one of my children or their friends ever use the phone AS a phone - I don't think my daughter has ever made a telephone call on her phone - it's either Text, Snapchat, or Facetime.
