Learned something, today. Some newer cars have a bipass vent that can be opened to allow refrigerated air to flow inside the glove compartment... making it a mini fridge. That is so cool.

A few weeks back I learned that dealerships will replace something even if it can be fixed. Got a bad plug on on your wiring harness? Rather than replace the plug, for a couple hundred, they will only replace the entire harness for a few thousand

That's just disgusting, but something they've been doing for years, right? Guess they figure they'll get the consumer one way or another. New car dealerships aren't doing so great... current average price of a new car is close to $50K these days. That's just insane.

I love looking at cars... esp. the new luxury cars. When I see a really nice car I feel a bit jelly, but then I remember the purchase price and then question... how much do repairs cost?

lux is similar to having boats - unless you have money to burn, not recommended

long supply chain problems still, parts can take months, repair costs have also increased significantly

buying used phishosophy (intended :-) has changed over the past 3 years since the industry wide supply price spike

my best advice is to look nationally if buying used , used cars in my area are much cheaper on average than say Georgia since 75% of the New cars are lease not retail which affects the used prices

Swiftie madness is upon us ! I don't know stuck, people spent night to get those hoodiez.......

that shirt gave me the biggest smile in a long time :pint:

Not looking to buy... just like looking at cars.

Change of subject...

Hewlett Packard is disabling ink cartridges remotely on wireless printers. Anyone else have this issue with HP?

Not with a printer, but I've had issues with this mechanical pencil going rogue recently. I blame Bic.

Are you kidding?!? Perfectly safe to go down 13,000 feet in a cobbled together sub that’s run with an Xbox controller.

Turns out they let a shark on board because it was dressed in a Steve Zissou outfit. Like zero vetting.
