I have a second 24 x 36 from ASW ... I love it. drymounters get heavy but, I love it.

Need to pick up a 18 x 24 for the smaller stuff like Fairey.
Which brand portfolio do you recommend from ASW? I see they have a bunch on there.

If you're going under 24 x 36 ... Itoya.

24x36 ... the only one is Picturesque ... I have that one, it's nice. I actually picked up a Picturesque for my 18 x 24 ... it's arriving today.

So is this actually a presentation case? Does it come with inserts?

All the presentation cases come with 5 pages, some times ten. The descriptions should say what it comes with.

Then you have to supplement them by buying refill packs. Not too many, or the portfolio will become too heavy.

I'd say 40 pages per portfolio (so, 80 prints) is the max.

I currently have a portfolio with straps in it to hold my prints on acid-free backings inside mylar sleeves. Would you recommend a presentation case over a portfolio? This is the one I have: http://www.dickblick.com/products/prat- ... io/#photos
It's 24x36x3 and has a pocket for putting prints in as well. The portfolio didn't come with any backings or sleeves so had to get those separately.

NOOOOOO! The straps can damage the prints. I have one of those portfolios as well. I keep the non collectible yet somewhat sentimental stuff in there cause they slide around and get all sorts of dings, dents and damage.

Definitely get the presentation case (or 2 or 3). :) I have two Itoya 18X24s and two Picturesque 24X36. My only beef with them is that they're heavy as fudge when full. Or get a flat file box.

Good luck,
KJ

How would they damage the prints (assuming on backings and in mylar)? Here's mine. Everything seems fine.
